Basics. Brunch. + Bottomless Mimosas

WalkingSittingKSBook

This year things felt different. It really didn’t feel much like Easter (Resurrection Day). Not sure if it’s because the kiddos are older or what. I didn’t even do our traditional (backyard) egg hunt. Something tells me that the kiddos are officially over it. It’s kinda bitter sweet though. I remember when finding the golden egg was the highlight of the night… not so much these days. My little ones have flourished. I think having big (teenage) bros has something to do with Amaya’s lack of interest too. She wants to feel just as big as they are, so she tends to follow their lead on things like this.

Brunch, Bottomless Mimosas (for mommy) + Barnes & Noble is what our Easter consisted of. Afterwards, it was time to tidy up and get the kiddos back into the groove of school. Sadly, today marks the end of spring break for us Florida livin’ peeps. As you can imagine, the kids are all but excited about the whole returning school thingy.

STYLENotes:

Blue Ankle Pants, White Button-down top, + Floral Pumps. We’re slowly breaking into spring. The weather’s so wishy-washy here in Orlando, that it’s hard to tell what to wear from one day to the next. Luckily for me, I had these colored trousers on-hand.  Don’t they just scream spring? There’s something about these trousers that makes me all happy inside–I guess it’s safe to say it’s the color. The pink floral pumps were the perfect compliment.

LIFEStyle Notes:

As of late, I’ve been writing little lists of gratitude. This is such a sweet little practice and I highly recommend you try it, if you haven’t already. It doesn’t take much time, and it helps you get centered and start things off on a positive note each morning. I’ve found that this little deed does so much for me, internally. Focusing on what you are grateful for extracts such positive energy. Which, in-turn will attract positive outcomes. I am so very thankful for my life, my family+ friends, my health, and my career. God is steadily blessing. My cup runneth over. I’m certain that there is someone more deserving than I.  I take nothing for granted. Though my life isn’t perfect; it’s as God would have it to be, so I’m thankful that it is mine.

What are you thankful for, friend?  You’ve got options…Leave your comments below, tweet me @styledelegate, and join me for this journey of gratitude on IG: @styledelegate

I didn’t do the Easter egg hunt either. I bought the egg coloring and everything. The vibe was surely different, not sure if it was all the energy I collected traveling or if the times have changed. At any rate, I’m grateful for my continuous growth, my family which encompasses my friends and our health and state of mind. I’m also grateful for having my steps ordered by my Creator, for HE ensures that what is meant to be will be. HE ensures that my family remains on course, HE ensures that as long as I invest in myself, he’ll double that investment and I’m grateful for all the amazing positivity that awaits me in the near future. Oh yes, I’m claiming greatness. If you say it, you can see it. If you can see it, you can believe it. Speak greatness over yourself.
