“ Ateacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart. “
Yes to all of this. This quote says errrthang. This is exactly how I feel about teachers. When Teacher Appreciation Day (TAD) surfaced again this year, I was for it (per usual) We truly enjoy celebrating teachers as they do a lot to ensure that our children are being educated and elevated, which is super important
Here’s the quick and dirty on how things went down! For Teacher Appreciation Day, each teacher provided us with a list of things they liked and enjoy. The list were mainly food items such as chips, candy, etc. With consideration of the items on the lists, we put a gift box together that contained a few of the teacher’s faves as well as some random nice to have items. The teachers were very pleased and super thankful. I could hear the joy pouring from the “thank you” emails they sent me. According to the, this sweet little box made their entire week!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! 🙂
That was certainly the goal. The theme of the gift was “Box of Happiness”We try different” semi-DIY” ideas every year. What I appreciate most about this gift concept is that it doesn’t require a lot of time. We purchased the box from Target. It was already assembled when we purchased it. We went to a few stores that carried the items the teachers requested and tossed in a few bonuses (with love of course), afterwards we personalized the nameplate to coincide with the theme and voila… we were DONE and they were in LOVE.
What’s in the boxes?
-Cheetos
-M&M’s
-EOS Chapstick
-message in a mini bottle of glitter
-Journal
-Starbucks
-Candle
-Reeses
-Pretzels
-Mug
-Golden Nuggets
Thank you Card
-Silver Kisses (because kisses make everything better)
This is the perfect DIY for us hot-tah-mommies who stay on the go. This took around two hours (including shopping time). I don’t remember the cost, but I’m sure it costs less than $50 per box.
