I‘ve been doing a B-day countdown since October 1, and now It’s down to the final two…. as I’m just TWO WEEKS away from celebrating Chapter 38! I figured it would be fun to share my B-Day Bucket List with my Double G’s, AKA Go-Gettas!, AKA Style Delegate READERS!

I finally figured out (after all these years) How I’d like to greet you all… I don’t like referring to my supporters/subscribers as “Followers”, so I wanted to come up with a greeting that was suitable for the Style Delegate TRIBE and I figured Go-Getta’s was most appropriate, as we’re all out here getting it together! But I digress…

 

Let’s get into this Bday Bucket List!

 

First up is… creating a Bday Playlist!

Since it’s a celebration and all, we gotta create ah bomb-digitty Playlist to set the mood. This is definitely a new thing for me. I’ve never made a Birthday playlist, but now that I have, I’m not sure why this never occurred to me before. I made a “Pitch Playlist” and it’s so good, it gets me in my bag and mentally prepares me for writing pitches and such, so I kept that same energy and created a “Birthday Queen” Playlist!

Can you guess what’s in my top 5? If you guessed Stevie Wonder-Happy Birthday, Rachet Birthday by Drake or BGM by Wale you’re spot on! I also have several songs from Queen Bey and King Jay as well as a few hits from Mary J, Monica, 2 Chainz, Missy, Meek, Lil Kim, Cardi, Lizzo, DJ Khalid, 50 Cent and the list goes on (with 60+ of my fave songs) Lol!  Oh yeah… she ready, READY

 

Take me to the Beach, Please! I’m so ready to relax on the balcony of my beachfront suite at The Confidante. I’ve been through TSA so many times this year that I’m looking forward to heading to a destination that Does NOT involve TSA, especially since I’ll be flying to Seattle the Monday following my Bday weekend. I’m planning to take full advantage of staying “Beach Front”. I’ve always wanted to stay at the Confidante Resort. I love the colorful umbrellas and I’m a whole entire fan of the decor and location so I’m definitely looking forward to checking this location off my bucket list.

When stepping into a new season, one must arrive refreshed and revived, so a little self-care is definitely on my Bday Bucket List! I’ve never had a gold foil facial and I’d like to experience it so going to somebody’s spa is on my radar. I have a membership at Hand and Stone but I want a Bougie Bday Spa treatment that involves Roof Top Views and relaxation areas inclusive of champagne service and fancy little finger foods. My spa treatment at the “W” in Brisbane set the standard. I can still taste the milo and strawberries when I close my eyes and reflect on all of the joys of my Brisbane spa adventures! I need another one of those moments leading into Chapter 38, ya dig!

I Like Dope Cakes and I cannot lie… Lol! I don’t care how old I turn, I will always look forward to my birthday and to designing the perfect cake to compliment my Bday MOOD. There’s something special about the whole B-day cake experience, I always look forward to telling my story through my b-day cake. Finding a way to incorporate where I am in my personal journey, into the cake design, is always a challenge that I welcome annually. This year my mood is a mashup between Michelle Obama/Maya Angelou and Meg the Stallion/City Girls…I know, that’s an interesting combo, right? Well, that’s exactly how I’d describe myself. I’m a lil ratchet and a lil sophisticated. Thats why I contemplated  having a customized cake featuring a Dusse bottle dripping with diamonds and accompanied by a scroll that read “Phenomenal Woman, That’s me!” Lol! It’s hilarious to see this written out on paper because this was my actual thought process and now I’m feeling like I wanna call my Cake-stress and have this idea executed, Pronto… but then again, there’s always next year, right?! This year I’m having five of my favorite books incorporated into my cake design because reading is my favorite pass-time aside from shopping of course. I’ll be doing my cake reveal during my Pre-Bday Celebration at Top Gulf! I can’t wait to share that experience with you all. If you’ve seen my IG stories, you’ve seen a little of the BTS footage of me designing the cake…

I’m all the way here for “Throwing it in the bag… so finding the perfect B-day attire is a MUST. Yes, Boo! I’m totally THAT CHICK…I still  believe in having a Birthday Fit and doing the absolute MOST on my personal holiday. Last year, I spent the day kicking it with my sister at the Hyatt here in Orlando. We had  such an incredible time! The hotel sent up all kinds of goodies to include breakfast in bed (which is a favorite) as well as Carrot Cake accompanied by a handwritten card! I live for endless sister-talks over bubbly, so the Pajama party was absolute perfection. It was a bday well-spent with family. This year, I plan on getting dolled up and being out and about in the city. Can’t wait to share my B-day Style Picks with you all.

Since I’ll be spending my Birthday weekend in Miami with Hubs, I’m excited about visiting the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Doing a Helicopter tour of the city at sunset, and having dinner with the Mr. at The Versace Mansion. Though I’ve been to Miami so many times, it’s typically to attend an event or to celebrate with someone else. Since this time I’m going to celebrate me, I’m looking forward to being an actual tourist and getting to do all of the touristy stuff like site seeing, beach bumming, and exploring all of the Miami happenings!

So that pretty much sums up my Bday list! I’m looking forward to kicking off my B-Day Celebration at Top Gulf, as I wanted to ensure I got to spend time with my family and friends before heading to Miami to celebrate. I’ve already set my B-Day intentions so I know it’s going to be one for the books!
