The Linen “Who What Wear” dress has been really popular this summer and I was so happy when I found it on sale in my local Target. I couldn’t wait to share how I styled this Who What Wear summer favorite. The button-down linen dress trend has become a closet staple as I can wear it for work and play so it’s definitely a win-win type situation, ya dig? Here are three sure fire tips that’ll help you slay your fashionable “Who What Wear” #targetfinds this summer. I’ve linked the items that I’m wearing below for your convenience!
Summer Layers….
Though it was an absolute Scorcher (hence the stream of sweat pouring down my leg, Lol!) I was gonna edit it but then I thought, what the heck… It was hot, I was sweating and this is what REAL BLOG LIFE LOOKS LIKE… a hot sweaty fashionable mess! Lol, but I digress…
I couldn’t resist doing a little summer layering. This black lace bralette elevates EVERY. SINGLE. LOOK. I grabbed it from Victoria Secret a few seasons ago and it always manages to get air time. The intricate lace details adds something special to an otherwise traditional dress. I linked a few options below for your convenience. Try adding a bralette under your top, dress, or jumpsuit and leave a few buttons loose… you’ll likely love it as much as I do. 🙂
Go BOLD
I’m a lover of color so pairing such a classic dress with these trendy Schutz Neon PVC pumps was an absolute must. It makes things a lot more fun if you ask me. I know that Neon has been in heavy rotation all over Instagram. I’ve been guilty of falling victim to the hype… I’ve added quite a few pieces to my closet. However, If you’re not big on going BOLD with color or if you’ve been a little hesitant to try the “Neon” trend, this is a fun easy way to try it without going overboard (… is that even possible?)
The key to having impeccable style is simplicity. Rather than going all-in, stick with a basic neutral color and go bold with your accessory of choice (until you become more comfortable playing with color). In this case, I chose to go bold with my shoes and nails… you can choose to do the same or you can incorporate colorful statement earrings, a colorful handbag, funky sunglasses and/or etc. Just remember to have fun with stepping outside of your comfort zone. If you’re not a fan of the Neon pumps but you love the style of this shoe… I’ve link the black and nude pumps as well. I had to have them all because they’re so comfy and fly and they’re still on sale! 🙂
Rack ’em & Stack ’em
It’s all about the necklaces baayybyyyy!!! *In my Lil Kim Voice
Pile on your favorite neck candy! Adding necklaces in varying lengths adds edge to your look. I’m rocking my wild fable chocker and earrings. I love showcasing my Target Style Picks with y’all to show you just how easy it is to be stylish and not break the bank while doing it. The initial necklace is my jam and so is this cute “Queen Bee” necklace. I’m certain that I’ve made my money back off of these pieces when you factor in the cost per wear. If you’re looking for fun jewelry target has so many cute options. Another place I like to shop for Jewelry is Zara, J CREW, Banana Republic and ASOS.
*HIGH FASHION STYLE HACK*
Y’all have been raving about this bag and how obsessed you are with it. I must say, I’m equally as obsessed sister-friends, especially given the fact that I found the bag on sale at TARGET! This bag is from the New Day collection… I gave it a bit of a face-lift/high fashion feel by using my YSL dust bag to keep my items concealed when I attended the Essence Festival concerts, in New Orleans a few weeks ago. I can’t tell you all how many times I was stopped about this bag… and the shock when I said it was a Target Find was really surprising as I assumed that everyone shopped at Target as much as I do… Lol! I can spot a Target find from a million miles away, Lol! BUT the piss poor news is, I tried to find the bag online but I can’t seem to find it. I will say this though…don’t give up, check the New Day section in your local Target store because thats where I got mine and it’s definitely a nice to have for festival season! It’s the most “convertible” bag I own, heck… this bag can be anything… Chanel, Prada, Balenciaga, Fendi, Versace, Off-White, YOU NAME IT, LOL!
